Cutthorpe is a small picturesque village with superb views over Chesterfield, which is about 3 miles south-east. It spreads along 3 miles of the B6050 to the east of and is close to the Peak District National Park. There are 2 pubs, a village school, recreation ground with a cricket square, the Village Institute plus the Linacre Reservoirs with beautiful bluebell woods and surrounding walks. Cutthorpe Christmas Fair

We are holding our Annual Christmas Fair is being held in the Institute on Saturday 7th December 1.00-4.00 pm. There will be some stalls plus tea and cakes and a Tombola. If you have anything you can donate to the Tombola please cotact Maureen Tropman - metropman@gmail.com, 07761 410115 - all contributions very welcome. Cakes etc would also be welcome on the day.

Tea and Toast Anniversary

9.30-11.30 First Monday of every month in the Institute. November will be the 1st anniversary of running this very successful monthly morning breakfast get together in the Institute. There will be cakes and other goodies available to eat there or take away. We really hope you can join us for this and the other Saturday mornings. We can offer help to get to the hall should you want to come but can't without support, just let us know. Contact Arlene on 07877 863433 or Claire on 07516 610544.

Cutthorpe Village Charity AGM

and Village Consultation

This will be held on Monday 23rd October in the Village Hall. The AGM will be between 6.30-7.00, immediately followed by the Consultation meeting, finishing by 7.30 pm. All Cutthorpe residents are invited but only Members can vote at the AGM, papers will be emailed to all members. Please come along to hear our plans for the future and give us your ideas and views. Cutthorpe Choir

The choir have restarted for the Autumn and are planning to possibly collaborate with another choir for some performances, though still meeting weekly in the Institute on Friday evenings at 7.30. They would welcome anyone interested in joining - you don’t need previous experience - if you’re interested in trying it out do get in touch with John Thurstan j_w_thurstan@hotmail.com, 07821 725200.

Many of the activities in the village are supported by the village charity, Cutthorpe Matters. To become a member costs nothing and requires no commitment but does give the charity the support of numbers of interested residents, the link to the membership form is here (for download and printing.
